Solving problems on their own is crucial for students to become self-determined. When teachers and parents help students solve their problems, students don’t learn how to solve their own problems. Role playing helps kids improve problem solving in the classroom. Kids can get to tackle common issues like bullying and having conflicts with peers. At these class discussions, provide the students with answers without solving the issue for them. You may say, “You two have the same book. What do you think we should do? Do you think that both of you will find satisfaction?” Talk about the implications of possible options.
